As a registered 501c(3) our Vision is to become the Florida centerpiece for telling the story and ensuring the preservation of the unique art form known as the Blues genre. Through a compilation of music events, educational programs, interactive workshops, and a museum dedicated to the story - past, present, and future - of the Blues, we will realize this vision.
The Blues has been influential in the landscapes of America’s music, society and culture. .In our efforts to explore and share this impact, we look to incorporate both music and education into a dynamic program of workshops designed to capture the inner musician in all of us. These workshops will be the building blocks to the creation of the Blues and Roots Performing Arts Center and Museum of Florida. This will be a one of a kind performing arts museum in Florida. We’re proactively involved in assisting with music programs in schools and in therapy. We support the music therapy programs at The Chase Academy - a school for children within the Autistic Disorder Spectrum, and The Veterans Wellness and Recovery Program - a program assisting veterans with severe mental disorders. We are an Affiliate Society.with the Blues Foundation
